Super DIRT Week XLV is upon us.
At a new location this year, it's a level playing field. What's your take on Oswego? Predictions?
Personally I love the concept in place here. A track that is visited one time per year just for SDW. 300 laps so it's not just another series race. Also 300 laps should mean two pitstops, or a long stretch on one. Could we see a major upset with a strategy call? Will we see passing? Very different dynamic compared to Syracuse(RIP).
What do you think?

Can't wait to finally see the racing match the level of the party! And to see Otto Sitterly's qualifying attempt! Seriously, with all due respect to Syracuse and the history that was made there, this was a much needed change! Hoping the naysayers will be blown away here and Oswego will be significantly impressed to keep on hosting as CNYRP looks no closer to completion than I am to purchasing a winning powerball ticket. BTW, if I do win powerball, I won't give a nickel to Donnelly and would probably hope it still stays at Oswego should all go according to plan this week!

Even as big as an event as Syracuse was, the racing was usually lackluster. Hopefully Oswego will ingest some good racing into the event. The biggest event for the Modifieds deserves a good track surface.

I think they're already off to a good start. Early tech indications have been that nobody really brought any type of "Syracuse" or exotic specialized aero bodies with them. That means the weekly racer can actually show up with maybe just a freshened engine, a straight set of tubes, and maybe a shock rebuild and be competitive. Might not see the drastic car count increases this year until people can see how it goes down, which I think will be better than expected. Next year, could be a lot of drivers who have never put brought a car to SDW before taking a chance
Here's a good question though. Which guy outside of the tour regs will have the best chance of winning?

1st practice is in, Sheppard is stil quick, and there were no major surprises. Hearn looks like he might just come to life here, but at the end of the day..I'm gonna ride with Tim Fuller. #1 He's due #2 He'll have a car that can do it #3 For some reason, I believe he'll have his focus completely directed at winning this thing. My only concern for him...would be bad luck. Now watch Shep run away with the thing that I've now said that.
